Our aim is to provide you with a quality break in a comfortable environment for you to relax and enjoy the finest of Welsh hospitality. We have added luxurious touches in all four rooms, to have you experience the special atmosphere that is unique to Canaston Oaks, - we have even been called "boutique", "chic" and indeed "hip" by some leading travel journalists and some of our more contemporary guests! The guest rooms were originally the stables for the farm and have recently undergone extensive and imaginative restoration - with Eleanor’s eye for detail ensuring many distinctive and special features.
All four guest rooms have private bathrooms and magnificent views across the countryside - either over the picturesque grounds down to the river, or the wider surrounding rural countryside - and all have been specifically designed to reflect a traditional, yet contemporary, ambience. There is also a lake and wildlife pond where otters have been seen, making this the perfect place to sit and relax and forget the office, but if you need to check e-mail or use the internet the facility is available.
We are ideally situated in the centre of Pembrokeshire for the numerous and varied activities and attractions, and the ports of Fishguard and Pembroke are only twenty-five minutes away.
National Tourism Awards
We were one of 4 finalists for the National Tourism Awards for Visit Wales 2007. These awards, for the best in tourism throughout Wales were held in Bodelwydden Castle on 4th October, with television news reader Huw Edwards hosting the evening. We were runners up and had a commendation (one of only 4 in all entries to have this commendation) in Wales. We are absolutely delighted with this award in our first year of opening.
